Red Black presents: The Vimby Shop Launch Party
Vimby (short for Videos In My BackYard), has been leading the charge in online media, fusing fashion, music, the arts, and just about every cool thing you can think of into one site. They did a piece on your favorite brand as well awhile ago, and we were all pleased with results. Now they're moving to the next phase as they launch their very own Vimby Shop, where you can pick up all the fly gear you have seen in their videos including yours truly, Kallusive! This Thursday March 4th, they are celebrating their release at Crimson in Hollywood, CA. If you're in the area, make sure to come out and party with us, RedBlack, Vimby, and many, many more!

Concrete Disciples Photo-Shoot
Wednesday was another beautiful day in the skate world and our very own
rider Nic Rivera's photo shoot for Concrete Disciples Magazine. The shoot took
place at two locations; Volcom Skatepark in Costa Mesa at 9 in the morning
before the crowd arrived, and Channel Street Skatepark located under the
bridge in San Pedro. Overall Nic had a pretty sick shoot and will be in the next issue. Shout out to photographer Ray Zimmerman for painting the canvas of skateboarding with awesome photos.
Heres a sneak preview of the action that transpired.
Nic and I relaxing after the shoot
We will post up the article when it drops next month!

Urban Street Jam 2010
The 1st Annual Urban Street Jam went down this weekend, and the competition definitely lived up to the hype. There were many facets to the event, including a junior division, an adult division, a 2v2 all-styles battle, and a viewers choice battle. The junior division started off the night with some promising young talent. The adult division was of course amazing, with Common Ground taking first. In between all the team competitions, came the highlight of the night, the 2v2 battle.
There many familiar faces in the battle, including Hok and D-Trix from Quest, Kallusive dancers Ace and Tiff, and of course Mike Song and Victor Kim! Having to go through Hok and D-Trix in first round that went to a playoff, Mike and Victor had to pull many tricks out of the bag. Luckily, they made it through and faced Ace and Tiff, before beating the Versastyle crew for the victory!
There was also a fashion show that I hosted, featuring some of the up and coming brands in the dance industry. Many different brands came out to have booths and showcase there new gear as well. The Kallusive booth was pretty popular all day as we had visits from all of the top dancers at the show. Here are a couple snapshots we took from a busy day of supporting the dance community.
The day started off with a sick live graffiti art show!
The line was backed up outside the hotel hours before showtime...
Arnel and Mookie getting ready to start the show
Anthony Lee getting the crowd hyped for some free clothes during the fashion show
Mike and Victor getting ready to take on the best
Lando v Twitch was an insane battle, but it went to Twitch in the end (Lando rockin that raining bullets red tee)
Our supporters Twitch and Steve from Quest stopped by the booth to see how business was going
Anthony Lee with Tiff and Ace before the battle began (I guess it was wear red day)
It was pretty stressful with the last minute venue change but thanks to everyone who came out... we also be emailing the winner of the exclusive tee release tomorrow!
